Call certified American Clay applicator Jim Erskine with The Arch for your next project. Jim has over 100K square feet of installation experience. Application Services: Jim can provide you with an estimate if you are interested in his application services. We also work with other talented applicators in the Asheville area as well as outside of our area. Jim has worked on a variety of projects from small chimney chases to large homes, office and retail spaces, and restaurants. Jim works with The Arch to provide you with an estimate for all materials needed as well as providing estimates for application services. Jim has the expertise you can count on. The Arch is a stocking showroom, and we offer competitive pricing. Please call well in advance if you wish to schedule an application, particularly if large in scope. Hands-on American Clay Workshops: The Arch offers two hour or half day class instruction. The two-hour class is primarily an introduction to American Clay, how it feels to apply it, tips on trowel use, and as much as we can possibly fit into two hours. It provides you with confidence and a good understanding of how to complete your project. Not available at this time: The full day class includes a more in-depth hands-on experience focusing on substrate preparation, mixing, experience with the various clay types, binders, finish and application techniques, corner applications, many tips to make your application go smoothly, and how to make repairs. Scheduled workshops are listed on American Clay's website but we often schedule classes for a minimum of 3 people based on dates not listed.
